Samsung's flagship smartphone Galaxy S3 has been highly welcomed by smartphone enthusiasts and tech-gurus alike, since its launch in May this year. The company revealed in August this year that the smartphone will be manufactured in four more new colors, and now carrier Verizon has confirmed that it will offer the brown and the black version of the device.

Users on Verizon looking to lay hands on the Galaxy S3 will now have more options in color apart from the Pebble Blue and Marble White. The carrier will now also offer Amber Brown and Sapphire Black versions of the smartphone soon.

Verizon teases subscribers on its Web site which says "Samsung Galaxy S3, Coming soon in Black and Brown." However, the availability date of the black and brown models has not been revealed. Users will hope that the new color versions will be priced similarly to the current white and blue variants.

In August this year, Samsung announced in its official blog post that its popular smartphone Galaxy S3 will be available in four new colors inspired from the "Earth's richest materials:" Amber Brown, Garnet Red, Sapphire Black and Titanium Gray. "Elegant, intelligent and stylish, the Samsung GALAXY S III is designed for humans and inspired by nature," indicated the blog post.

Samsung describes Amber Brown as an inspiration from the gemstone amber and says that the rich and deep colors of Amber Brown redefines the classic color, laying emphasis on the "advanced organic design of the GALAXY S III."

Sapphire Black, is a "deep sophistication" of the hue and is inspired by ancients in India and Persia who used stones for protection and harbored the notion that the stones strengthened willpower.

Samsung previously announced that the availability of Galaxy S3 colors will depend on the country and carrier. Its Garnet Red variant is available exclusively on AT&T.  Recently, Samsung also announced a "Martian Pink" variant of the Galaxy S3 for the Korean market. With the announcement of the brown and black variants, the only color for which users will have to wait longer is the Titanium Grey for which no news is available yet.

The Galaxy S3 packs high-end features and has already won over consumers. With the smartphone available in many more colors, Samsung is looking to stay in the consumer mind and up its attractiveness quotient
