Small startup Fingersoft said that its first game, Hill Climb Racing, has proved a huge worldwide hit.

According to Fingersoft, Hill Climb Racing has in fact been so successful that it even surpassed the heavily promoted Bad Piggies in terms of popularity. Bad Piggies was released at the same time as Fingersoft's game, and bears the reputation of Angry Birds-developer Rovio.

"Hill Climb Racing has become a phenomenal success on Android platform, topping the overall charts in three countries and game charts in 13 countries, including the USA, UK and Germany.", said Fingersoft founder Toni Fingerroos.

"Due to immense success we have over doubled our resources", added the founder, clearly proud of the small startup's achievement. Fingersoft currently relies on two full time developers and a one part time employee, which makes its success shine in a different light. Basically, such a small company has managed to create a game that surpassed heavy rivals.

Toni Fingerroos founded the small Fingersoft Ltd. startup back in 2004. The company started out with a clear goal: to develop fun, enjoyable and entertaining mobile content while also enjoying the development process.

The game in question, Hill Climb Racing, is an entertaining and borderline addicting racing game based on physics. Basically, the player must help Newton Bill take his truck and reach the bumpy hills around the world and beyond. Players can choose from three available vehicles on the bumpy tracks, and control the car by gas and brake pedals. Meanwhile, coring new records and collecting coins allow players to upgrade their vehicles.

The game has received an impressive rating of 4.6 stars out of 5, and has got over 120,000 reviews so far. As Hill Climb Racing has surged in popularity and demand, the game is now available on Apple's iOS platform as well. Fingersoft's Hill Climb Racing can now be downloaded for free from both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

Hill Climb Racing, along with other popular apps such as Cartoon Camera, generate over 400,000 average daily downloads for Fingersoft, accounting for more than 50 million downloads all around the world. All Fingersoft apps are now available for Android and iOS alike.
