Owners of the Nokia Lumia 800 have reasons to celebrate as the Windows 7.8 update is now available for download via the Zune desktop software.
The update comes in four parts, first a Nokia update for Windows Phone which comes in the form of 7.10.8773 to 7.10.8779.8, then 7.10.8783, and finally to 7.10.8858.136. After upgrading your Lumia 800 device, users should experience an all new start screen with customizable tiles along with a host of other features both from Microsoft and Nokia.
Per reports, it is not yet known when the update will be available for other Lumia models or when it will come to other branded Windows Phone 7 devices. It appears that non-Lumia owners may have to wait until early 2013 to get Windows Phone 7.8, or if they are feeling adventurous they could flash their devices with the latest ROM.
