Good news for smartphone users in Canada - you can now book flights (in addition to your hotel bookings) on your iOS and Android devices via the Expedia app.

Expedia updated both its iOS and Android app on Jan. 24, which offers an improved app design on both platforms, fixes bugs, and allows Canadian users to book flights on their iOS and Android smartphones.
"Save up to 60% with amazing Expedia Mobile Exclusive hotel deals! And now find the best flight to anywhere in the world, too," notes the app description on Google Play Store.
Expedia enables the set-up of your current location as the default location for fast, on-the-go booking. Users can see reviews from actual hotel customers, sort price, deals or reviews instantly, and get cheap hotel rooms or 5-star luxury suites.
Users can also find and book a flight to anywhere in the world, sorting them by price, duration, or time instantly. Additionally, users can search by airport name, city, or airport code. The prices are competitive with rival providers such as Hipmunk, Priceline, Kayak and Hotwire.
The Expedia app for iOS and Android is free to download from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. For iOS devices the app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, and requires iOS 5.0 or later. However, the flight booking feature of the app is not yet available for iPad.
For Android users, the app is compatible with devices that run Android 2.2 or up.
