Users of Path on Apple-based iOS are in for a treat.

Per reports, popular iOS-based social networking app Path has just received a major update from the developers making the app more user-friendly and feature-rich.

With the update, Path now has two major features to offer its users. The first of the features is the option of private messaging between users. This is quite an important inclusion owing to the fact that while previously users had to comment on a post, but now they can send messages directly to other people.

These messages can include voice, media, location data, and stickers, the latter of which are the next big addition to the app.

“Today we are excited to introduce Path 3. We have added private messaging – the Path take on it – that we hope will help you feel like talking in person, with a hand on your arm, seeing a friend’s scrunched nose, wide smile. That it might make you laugh out loud,” the official page states.

The company states that it has made the one-to-one and group messaging smaller compared to how it was before, with as much personal conversations as the user wants. This also includes text, voice, location, stickers, songs, books, movies, photos and videos.

“There’s utility and context. For example, if you’re running late, you can tap the location button to let a friend know where you are. Or if you don’t have free hands to type, you can record a voice message.”

As far as stickers are concerned, the company says that these are small pieces of art meant to be used for messaging.

“You can choose what speaks to you, and speaks best on your behalf: a fist bump, over-caffeination, jealousy, big love. We’ve given you two free sticker packs designed in-house and we’ve worked with some of our favorite artists, like David Lanham, Hugh MacLeod, and Richard Perez, to create packs that you can buy in the Shop,” the page adds.

Sticker packs are priced at $1.99 each, and photo filters go for $0.99.

Additionally, the Android version of the Path is now available, and offers the same features as that of the iOS version.
