Apple finally launched the developer version of iOS 7 after convincing everyone attending the keynote of the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2013, that its new software is way better than its earlier version.
However, Apple started receiving criticism gradually for the changes it introduced in the new iOS 7. Developers who could download the iOS 7 Beta 1 and run it on their iPhones are of the view that Apple did not introduce any new feature that is worthy enough to cath attention.
The Cupertino-based tech giant is known for introducing a new 'center stage' feature with every version of the iOS that becomes instrumental in the publicity of the new software. Apple introduced iBooks and Multitasking features with iOS 4, the release of iOS 5 came with Siri and iCloud that took Apple's popularity to a completely different level. But when it came to iOS 6, Apple failed to deliver what it promised with its counter attack on Google Maps, the iOS Maps.
And, when it comes to iOS 7 we don't see any path breaking feature that can be called the show stopper of this new mobile operating system. It looks like that Jony Ive tried to lure the iOS users with a new old-looking design and by introducing many patches of different colors here and there in the interface. But, that's about all.
Well-known jailbreaker and security expert, Pod2g also thinks that the recently launched iOS 7 Beta 1 is Apple's worst operating system ever. He became so disappointed after testing the beta version that he now even considers switching to an Android device from his iPhone 4S.
"After a few days of iOS 7 beta 1 testing, I must admit that I am about to switch to an Android device," he tweeted.
According to him, the beta version is experiencing faster battery drain, crashes, and slow performance and has bad user experience.
Pod2g is no different from those who were pretty impressed when iOS 7 was first shown on a big screen at the WWDC. However, developers later realized that more colors in the interface are there just to cover up the lack of new features.
"I am pretty disappointed by the features I've seen in iOS 7. No revolution here. No big news. Just kid painting," Pod2g said on his Twitter account. "It was just after I looked at their keynote. They are good at convincing people their software is 'amazing'."
