Australian fans of the new Google Nexus 7 tablet can now rejoice, as retailer Kogan has started selling the slate in the country.
The new ASUS-made Google Nexus 7 made its debut in the U.S. about a month ago. Google promised at the time to make the slate available in other countries soon, yet most regions are still waiting to see the new Nexus 7 on their respective Google Play stores.
The new Google Nexus 7 was one of the most anticipated devices of this year and it stirred quite some waves when it finally made its debut. It is made by ASUS just like the original Nexus 7 and launched with the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean on board, as expected.
The new-generation 7-incher from Google and ASUS sports some notable improvements over its predecessor and attracts many tablet shoppers due to its great specs and affordable price tag.
While the tablet is yet to become available on the Google Play Store in Australia, one retailer in the country has started selling the new Nexus 7 already.
Australian retailer Kogan is now offering the Nexus 7 2013 for a reasonable price of $279 and $329 for the 16GB and 32GB models, respectively. Keep in mind, however, that Kogan sets a limit of two tablets per customer, so those planning on buying in bulk are out of luck. The price is $50 more than the U.S. price tags for the tablet, but that's reasonable considering that the slate is not available through Google's own store.
According to the retailer, those who order the new Nexus 7 will get their tablet in one or two weeks. The slate will also come with a one-year warranty. Kogan does not detail how many units it has in stock. Interested buyers may want to take advantage of the offer while it lasts, as Nexus products tend to fly off the shelves in no time and the new Nexus 7 is likely to make no exception.
Australian tablet shoppers looking to purchase the brand new Nexus 7 can head to Kogan and order the slate now. Note, however, that delivery fees are not included in the price.
