GTA V is without a doubt one of the most anticipated games of this year and GTA Online will have more than 500 missions at launch.
The whole GTA franchise has created a phenomenal frenzy worldwide since its very beginnings, and the new iteration of the popular game has millions on edge anticipating its grand debut.
Rockstar, the company behind the almighty GTA, has invested over $250 million in the production of GTA V and put a lot of muscle in offering a great experience for the game's online mode.
Leslie Benzies, Rockstar Games CEO, has now revealed in an interview with Game Informer that Grand Theft Auto (GTA) Online will boast more than 500 missions on launch day. The CEO further mentioned that his company wants to create an entire Grand Theft Auto through GTA Online, a universe that would include everything Rockstar has done so far.
Rockstar will reportedly pursue this endeavor in the future with the GTA series and will ultimately let gamers shift freely between the different worlds of the GTA iterations. This indicates that gamers could see other GTA maps appear as the game progresses, such as Vice City, Liberty City, or even London.
"We've always wanted to create a world with the complexity of a single-player Grand Theft Auto game with the addition of real players," said Benzies. "We wanted a world where people could spend years without getting bored of playing the same content over and over. I think we've managed to achieve something very close to our dream."
The GTA Online mode will make its debut in October with over 500 missions on board, many of which sport various objectives and gametypes and break down between single-player and multi-player. Players will be able to join a crew or rock missions with their friends on PSN or Xbox LIVE. The GTA Online will also have skill-specific matchmaking options for playing with others if your friends are offline. In terms of content, the online mode will reportedly feature every single-player activity in GTA V.
GTA V is set to make its grand debut on Sept. 17, 2013, with the GTA Online to follow shortly on Oct. 1, 2013. The online mode will be available for free with every copy of GTA V.
