The Google Nexus 5 is one of the hottest smartphones of this year and now it has some official accessories to go with it.
Google has announced a new Nexus wireless charger, an LG QuickCover case and a Nexus 5 bumper case, all available now and shipping within 1-2 business days. The three new Nexus 5 accessories are now in stock on the Google Play store.
The Nexus Wireless Charger works with the Nexus 5, the Nexus 4 and the Nexus 7 2013, allowing users to charge their device without having to plug it in. This accessory costs $49.99 and will ship within 1-2 business days.
The LG QuickCover, meanwhile, is a custom-fit unibody case for the Nexus 5, and it will also work with the aforementioned wireless charger. The case has a stylish matte finish and aims to protect the device from scratches. Another advantage is that this QuickCover allows easy access to the phone's user interface without requiring users to swipe to unlock. It costs $49.99 as well, is available in black or white color options, and ships in 1-2 business days.
Lastly, the Nexus 5 Bumper Case is also designed to protect the handset and it works with the wireless charger accessory as well. It sports a hard outer shell, while the inside features a soft rubber lining. The fact that it's compatible with the wireless charger means that users will be able to charge their Nexus 5 without having to remove the bumper case. This accessory costs $34.99 and will be available in four color options: black, gray, bright red, and bright yellow. Only the bright red and bright yellow models are currently in stock, while the other two versions are listed as "coming soon."
The Nexus 5 is already in high-demand, as expected. It is the latest flagship smartphone from Google and LG and it rocks the new Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box. The handset sports high-end specs and features and comes with an affordable price tag unlocked, which appeals to many smartphone shoppers. With brand new accessories now in stock and ready to ship, the Nexus 5 will likely be even more attractive.
