Recently, Apple announced that the new improved Apple TV, which was long overdue, is now available for pre-orders. It comes in two versions, the 32GB and the 64GB versions. The 32GB is priced at $149 while the 64GB version is at $199. It is announced that Apple TV will be launched and available to at least 80 countries, these countries include the US, UK, Canada, and Australia.

Orders are expected to be shipped starting this Friday, October 30.  Apple TV is also expected to start showing at Apple retail stores during the first week of November; which is the same week pre-ordered units made today are expected to arrive by standard shipping.

The newly improved Apple TV, according to Apple CEO Tim Cook, is the golden age of television. Cook further states during its last month's unveiling, that Apple's vision for TV is simple and a little provocative. They believe that the future of television is apps.

The new Apple TV is said to be more powerful than its previous version. It offers an improved app store that features contents coming from Apple itself and from other third-party developers. Apple TV comes with a redesigned remote control plus a support for Bluetooth controllers, power cables, and an Apple lightning cable. Users still need to buy their own HDMI cable; which can be bought at Apple for $19 as an add-on upon check out.

Voice commands are now at the center of the viewing experience. Users will find themselves able to speak to Siri to search for content from different streaming services. Users will also now be able to control playback and ask Siri for suggestions on what new shows to watch.

With Apple TV available in the market soon, the competition for the streaming content will be stiffer, with Amazon, Google and Roku also releasing their own devices last month. Though Apple TV is said to be the superior one among them, the results might say something different. It will still be in the hands of the users whether they will like it better or not.
