Is Apple Set To Conquer The World With New Beats Stations?

Dec 29, 2015 09:05 PM EST

It seems like Apple is gearing up to create another service that will be its new baby for 2016. And it seems like it is going to be the next continuation of its live radio venture. Beats 1 has been known and praised by some critics saying that it has been the best part of Apple Music service.

And it seems that it has also garnered enough support that the tech company has reportedly filed for trademarks on the phrases "Beats 2," "Beats 3," "Beats 4" and "Beats 5." It has also applied trademarks for the matching B2, B3, B4 and B5 logos, which are the same as that used by Apple on its Beats 1 radio station.

The trademark applications are said to have been filed with the US Patent and Trademark Office last month and are currently pending review. And if the said trademarks are approved, it means that Apple will most likely be creating another five radio stations in addition to its current Beats 1 station without having the need to negotiate new terms.

The Cupertino company might also be launching additional Beats station across the globe. This means that it could also be adding new DJ's in each country and/or adding new stations that have a certain genre or focus. It has also been reported earlier that Apple has already registered domains beats2.com.cn, beats2.hk and beats4.com.ru in several countries around the world.

So far, the company's original Beats station, Beats 1, is being broadcasted in over 100 countries. It has been on air since the Cupertino company launched its Apple Music service last June 30. Currently, the tech company's 24/7 global live radio station is being anchored by renowned DJs, Zane Lowe, Julie Adenuga and Ebro Darden.

The service provides consumers with a mix of the latest music, guest interviews, etc. The service can be both streamed on the tech company's Apple Music and iTunes services.
