'Fallout 4 Nuka-World DLC' Trailer A Disappointment? Final Expansion Release Date This Month

Aug 17, 2016 07:50 AM EDT

Bethesda has just dropped a new trailer for "Fallout 4"'s final DLC "Nuka-World" earlier this week, and some fans are already expressing disappointment over the latest expansion.

A departure from the gloomy atmosphere of "Far Harbor," Nuka-World" is filled with different fun rides in all its post-apocalyptic glory, and most of them are apparently still functional.

Nuka-World is split into different unique park zones: Safari Adventure, the World of Refreshment, Dry Rock Gulch, Kiddie Kingdom, Galactic Zone, and Nuka-Town, USA.

The trailer also showcased Nuka Cola themed power suits, park mascots and other crazy amusement park elements.

The new DLC also promises "new quests, raider factions, weapons, creatures and more," and as the trailer evidently shows, there are lots of new things to do in the expansion, including riding a space ship themed roller coaster.

Despite still being situated in the post-apocalyptic wasteland, Nuka-World looks like a breath of fresh air from all the doom and gloom that the previous expansion has offered.

However, some are not very happy with the "Nuka-Cola DLC." "Fallout 4" fans are expecting a more-story driven content in the new DLC, which the trailer did not prominently show.

Some people, like Paste Magazine, has compared "Fallout 4" with "Fallout: New Vegas," hailed by many as the best game in the "Fallout" series.

While the four DLC of "Fallout: New Vegas" are focused on high quality narrative-based adventures, "Fallout 4" DLC's tend to focus on settlement building and Workshop content. According to the site, "Far Harbor" is Bethesda's best effort for a story-driven "Fallout 4" DLC.

However, there is still a huge possibility that there may be something behind all the colorful facade of Nuka-World, a darker story than Bethesda wants us to expect.

There is a reason why "Nuka-World" is the last expansion for the series, and the reason may be hidden behind all these happy park rides and smiley mascot faces.

"Fallout 4"'s last DLC "Nuka-World" will be released on August 30.
