'Resident Evil 7' Supports Cross-Platform Saves In Xbox One, PC, Adds 4K Features; What More To Expect From 'Collector's Edition'

The upcoming sequel to Capcom's biggest horror franchise, "Resident Evil 7," is getting a cross-platform save support that will allow players continue their progress on either Xbox One or PC. 4K Features and support will also be implemented.

To be exact, as reported by Dengeki, "Resident Evil 7" players will be allowed to transfer saves between the Xbox One and PC as Capcom had recently confirmed the feature with IGN. Along with the cross-platform save transfer feature, 4K support will also be added for the PC version.

This works the same as with such games like "Gears of War 4" and "ReCore," which are games included in Microsoft's Play Anywhere program. Buying a digital copy of either games will give the owners access to both the Xbox One and PC version of the games, especially those that are first party titles.

There's no confirmation yet, however, if the Xbox One and PC digital copies of "Resident Evil 7" can be purchased for the price of one.

In other news, in case any hardcore fan have missed it, a "Resident Evil 7" $180 Collector's Edition is also going to be available and this bundle will include a tiny haunted house or to be more precise, a "mansion."

As IGN reported, the mansion included is an 8-inch tall Baker mansion replica straight from the game itself. This comes with a dummy finger USB driver, an exclusive metal case and a litograph of the Baker family. The mansion also serves as a creepy music box and even has some LED effects adding a lot to its spooky factor.

"Resident Evil 7" is scheduled to be released on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One this coming January 24, 2017. This game is another big leap from the traditional over-the-shoulder camera angle and more of a homage to survival horror games like "P.T"
