2016 has been a great year for the gaming industry as some game titles have seen the light when their long on and off release dates are finally confirmed. Final Fantasy XV and The Last Guardian were among the titles that gamers did not expect to be released anytime soon; but somehow, Square Enix and Team Ico prevailed and did launch the game titles this year.

The Last Guardian proved to be one of the most cinematic games for the PlayStation 4 to date, with most gamers playing the game title since its release last month. With the lack of map or guidance system however, it seems that several gamers are struggling through some levels in the game. That being said, here's a good news: Team Ico just released a companion book for The Last Guardian.

The book, entitled as The Last Guardian: An Extraordinary Story, recently appeared in Amazon and within its pages are most details from the PS4-exclusive game world. The book will also feature never-before-seen illustrations and reveal more of The Last Guardian's nine-year troubled development with interviews from its developers, WWG reported.

The Last Guardian companion book will feature game insights, as well as walkthroughs for PS4 gamers who have no internet connection. The Last Guardian: An Extraordinary Story is a 256-page hardcover book that is set to be released on February 28 with a price tag of $39.99.

The Last Guardian was first announced in the E3 2006 and was supposed to come with the PlayStation 3 at that time. But with the game developer's countless delays and disappearances, it was forgotten in time and at one point, gamers just gave up on a possible release.

Against all odds, Sony then brought The Last Guardian to life as the game was announced back in the E3 2015 and launched on the PlayStation 4. The Last Guardian was designed by Fumito Ueda, who previously worked on Team Ico and Shadow of the Colossus.
