After taking a break on January 1 due to special programming, "Dragon Ball Super" is scheduled to return this coming Sunday. The upcoming "Dragon Ball Super" episode 73 titled "Gohan Gets Made Into a Film" will center around Gohan in a new way.

The synopsis of "Dragon Ball Super" episode 73 suggests that Gohan will take the plunge to become a stuntman for life-threatening scenes in a movie that will star Barry Kaan, who portrays the roles of The Great Saiyaman. The episode is deemed to be mere filler before the series heads towards a brand new arc, according to Attack Of The Fanboy.

The series' new arc dubbed as "The Universal Survival Arc" will revolve around a newfangled tournament that will feature various characters that hail from different "Dragon Ball" universes. Gohan will represent Universe 7 and be accompanying him will be other heroes including Krillin, Tien, Android 17, Android 18, Master Roshi, Buu, Piccolo, Vegeta and Goku's father.

Gohan is returning to avenge his father Goku's death. It's worth noting that several reports continue to deny Goku's death, claiming that the fan favorite character will bounce back in the upcoming episodes.

A recently surfaced info via a Japanese anime-themed V-Magazine February issue alludes to the return of Goku in the form of an image that shows Gohan with none other than Goku and Android 17. If reports doing rounds online come to fruition, these episodes will revolve around Gohan, who will eventually prove to everyone that he is really back in "Dragon Ball Super."

A Twitter user, Weekly (@weeklysaiyan) cemented these speculations by sharing "Dragonball Super" Arc poster for 2017, showing Gohan.

This tournament is said to have an element of surprise in store not only for avid "DBS" fans but Gohan himself as he will discover his powerful skills. Both Master Roshi and Tien Shinhan are also likely to return and will be joining the lineup of the warriors from "Dragon Ball Super" episodes.

Previous reports about Goku's death in the hands of Hit turned out to be false despite the title "Death to Goku! A Hit-Job That Can't Be Refused" alluding to the hero's inevitable death. Watch the video footage below for more leaks including the titles for upcoming episodes for "Dragon Ball Super" and the tournament slated to take place on Feb. 5, 2017.
