"Final Fantasy XIV" has just released a big update for the game. Patch 3.5, also known as "The Far Edge of Fate," is now live and contains big changes in the game; especially with the party system. Mostly, it resolved common players' issues with the game. So, what else can fans expect from patch 3.5?

One of the key issues of "Final Fantasy XIV" players is that the party has limited options for customization. With patch 3.5, Square Enix aimed to change the party system, including the players' ability to recruit each other for cross-server parties, keeping their Chocobos even when they have signed for duties and, lastly, creating password-locked private parties.

According to Kotaku, "Final Fantasy XIV" patch 3.5 has added a cross-server finder. With this, cross-server parties can register for duty-finder as well as raid-finder. The feature also expands the pool of potential allies and friends.

In addition to changing the party system, "The Far Edge of Fate" also has several other features. One is that there are five new main scenario quests. The first one is ntitled "Tidings from Gyr Abania." This quest has certain requirements such as a disciple of war or magic level 60. It also requires the completion of "Final Fantasy XIV" quest "An Ending to Mark a New Beginning."

GameSpot reported that the other quests are still a secret. But a few side quests, side story quests, beast tribe quests and more are included in patch 3.5. That being said, "Final Fantasy XIV" players can still enjoy a lot of new adventures.

Housing options are also available for "FFXIV" patch 3.5. The most notable change is that players could now access delivery moogles within their apartment premises. Picture frames are also available. Players could hang paintings they have bought from the Joyous Painter.

There are more contents, issues fixed and improvements brought by "The Far Edge of Fate." Players could check out the full roster of improvements on "Final Fantasy XIV's" official site.
