After totally ignoring the recent CES, NVIDIA is reportedly gearing up to take the wraps off its GeForce GTX 1080 Ti in an upcoming series of gaming festivals dubbed PAX East, which is scheduled to take place in Boston this coming March.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Release Date

The controversy-plagued NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti did not take the center stage during the CES event in Las Vegas despite multiple reports indicating that the chipset was spotted in Gigabyte's booth. The highly anticipated card's two 8-pin PCIe connectors and original graphics core were spotted in one of Gigabyte's showcase that comprised the newfangled Aorus-based GPUs. This clearly hints at a NVIDIA integration.

NVIDIA's recent job listing for the Senior Marketing Manager position added more fuel to the already burning rumors about the impending arrival of the GTX 1080 Ti. The said job listing pointed out the candidate's duties of making sure that GeForce GTX 980 Ti graphics card owners get first preference in line for GeForce GTX 1080 Ti pre-orders, according to HotHardware.

Meanwhile, recently surfaced reports suggest that California-based chip maker is prepping to announce the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti in Q1 2017. Although the release date has not been confirmed, the GTX 1080 Ti is expected to be unveiled during the PAX East 2017 event, which kicks off March 10 in Boston.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Specifications

The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is based on Nvidia's Pascal architecture and is devised to provide a significant boost to gaming systems, according to Enstarz. The Ti features an estimated 12 billion transistors as opposed to 7.2 billion on its precursor, the GTX 1080.

Moreover, it boasts 4.8GB RAM, which is faster than its previous chipsets. Aside from that, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will pack a higher bandwidth variant of the regular GDDR in the form of a GDDRX5 type RAM.

While the newfangled graphics flagship from NVIDIA boasts 3,328 CUDA cores, the GTX 1080 Ti has a better clock rate. In terms of performance, the next GeForce chip surpasses Titan's 1,417MHz performance with 1,503MHz. Thanks to a 384-bit bus that provides extra memory to the GTX 1080 Ti's memory, its bandwidth is expected to go as high as 480GB/s. This performance could guarantee the upcoming graphics processor a 10.8TFLOPS while operating.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Price

Considering its potentially superior performance, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is likely to hit the store shelves bearing a steep price tag ranging between $630 and $1200.
