'Diablo 3 Necromancer' vs 'Diablo 4': Unique Content, Pets and New Weapons Coming with DLC; What Can Players Expect?

Jan 31, 2017 10:06 PM EST

"Diablo 3's" Necromancer has been anticipated by gaming fans since its announcement last year. Blizzard has recently revealed more information about what "Diablo" players could expect from the upcoming DLC.

Necromancer features

UberGizmo noted that the upcoming Necromancer is different from what Blizzard offer for "Diablo 2." Some skills like the poison spells and the Iron Maiden will reportedly be removed to make this downloadable content unique in some ways to the previous offering.

Pets are also returning with the DLC but some will just be part of the game temporarily. Also included in the Necromancer for "Diablo 3" are additional four to five golems.

The Necromancer DLC is expected to be released this year but there is still no definite date for it, noted Game Rant. "Diablo 3" Senior Game Designer Travis Day and Lead Effects artist Julian Love said the launch date and price details of the DLC are not yet ready for now.

They, however, revealed that with the next Necromancer release, players will not be able to get non-class specific items but they could choose from new Melee options. New weapons are also set to be introduced with this content.

Other details

"Diablo 3" players are also keen on what the people behind the game also discussed like the addition of the Decrepify, a devastating curse which can cause a lot of damage, to the game. It is also believed that players should first have a Reaper of Souls before they can enjoy the Necromancer DLC.

'Diablo 4' kickoff

The coming of the Necromancer DLC could also well prepare the players for what "Diablo 4" could offer. This next title release for Blizzard, according to Trusted Reviews, has not been remotely discussed by the game developer and fans only speculate about its details.

Gaming fans only drew conclusion from the job posting that Blizzard made in the past saying they have an "unannounced project." Many immediately thought it would be a new Diablo game or an expansion pack for the game series.
