Galaxy Note 2 Gets Google Wallet (Unofficially)

The NFC-enabled Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is flying off the shelves and has been notching up billions in sales units, but users of the smatrphone are still unable to use the popular mobile payment system - Google Wallet on the device. However, now users in the U.S. may have an unofficial solution at hand, courtesy an XDA-Developers member.

Considering, that the Google Wallet mobile payments system is slowly gaining ground and is seeing an increase in adoption rate, it is surprising why carriers are not jumping onto the Google Wallet bandwagon.

However, users of the Galaxy Note 2 who want to use the Google Wallet software are in luck as the folks at XDA-Developers have posted an unofficial workaround, thanks to which users can install and get Google Wallet working on their phablet, unless they're on Verizon (since the bootloader is locked).

However, users on carriers AT&T, Sprint, or T-Mobile can take advantage of this solution. To use this method the Galaxy Note 2 needs to be rooted and running ClockworkMod Recovery.
