Samsung Galaxy Note 4 specs leak: AMOLED QHD display, 16-megapixel camera with OIS, Snapdragon 805
Alexandra BurlacuWith Samsung's latest flagship out and about, attention is now turning towards the next-generation Galaxy Note 4, and more details have now surfaced regarding its purported specs.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is already a powerhouse, boasting high-end specs and features all around, and its successor is expected to be even more powerful, sporting notable improvements in all departments. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is expected to make its debut this fall, but the rumor mill is already busy churning in anticipation.
Not many details are currently available about this unannounced device, but some recent reports tried to paint a picture of what we can expect. Although nothing is officially confirmed at this point, and it's still a bit early in the run, an unofficial source has now leaked some purported specifications for the Galaxy Note 4.
According to a new report from SamMobile, Samsung will launch its next-generation Galaxy Note 4 phablet in two configurations - one for the North American, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean markets, and the other for the remaining markets where it will go on sale. The former will reportedly pack a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, while the latter may come with Samsung's own Exynos 5433 SoC under the hood.
The publication further notes that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will sport a Quad HD AMOLED display, but makes no mention of the screen size. The current Galaxy Note 3 comes with a massive 5.7-inch screen, but some recent whispers suggested that Samsung may tune it down a notch with its next-gen flagship phablet and return to a 5.5-inch display size for the Note 4.
Other rumored specs and features include a UV sensor, a 16-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) from Sony, a 2-megapixel front shooter, and at least 3GB of RAM, if not 4GB. The Galaxy Note 3 already has 3GB of RAM, and a downgrade with the next generation is highly unlikely.
It's too soon at this point to speculate on pricing or exact launch date and availability, but U.S. customers will surely be able to pick up a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 from any of the four major carriers after the phablet makes its official debut.
While things are still uncertain in terms of specs, one thing's for sure: the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be a beastly Android powerhouse with top-of-the-line specs and features.
