Oppo Find 7 smartphone with 2K display goes up for pre-order in U.S.
Alexandra BurlacuThe Oppo Find 7 powerhouse announced back in March is now available for pre-order in the U.S., sporting a $599 price tag.
This top-notch smartphone from Oppo had already gone up for pre-order in China, and now interested customers in the U.S. can finally pre-order the Oppo Find 7 as well. Shipping is set to start in "early July," but the company offered no specific date for now.
For those unfamiliar with the device, the Oppo Find 7 is a high-end smartphone with a stunning 2K display, boasting a 5.5 inch screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, a pixel density of 538 pixels per inch (ppi) and Gorilla Glass 3 protection for extra durability and scratch resistance.
Under the hood, the Oppo Find 7 packs a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974A quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz, paired with a hefty 3GB of RAM for a fast and fluid performance. The handset also comes with 32GB of internal storage capacity, as well as microSD card support for additional memory of up to 128GB.
Other specs include a 13-megapixel rear camera with a Sony Exmor RS CMOS sensor and dual flash, and a 5-megapixel front shooter for video calls and quality self-shots. On the software side, the smartphone runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.
Connectivity-wise, the Oppo Find 7 comes with DLNA, GPS, WiFi Display, Bluetooth, NFC, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n. The phone also sports fast-charge technology, which will allow for fast battery charging. The 3,000 mAh battery unit will provide good performance on a single charge.
Oppo has also been offering a similar alternative called the Find 7a for a few months. This model has been available in the U.S. and other regions across the world, but it brings slightly lower specs: an 1080p screen instead of the 2K display, 2GB of RAM instead of the 3GB on the more premium model, and just 16GB of storage, not 32GB.
If you were waiting for the higher-end variant of the smartphone, the Oppo Find 7 powerhouse is now available for pre-order for $599 in the U.S., straight from Oppo. With shipping slated for early July, the handset should arrive in roughly two-three weeks.
