LG G3 Vigor to arrive this month as Sprint’s version of G3 Beat
Alexandra BurlacuSprint is apparently getting ready to launch a new mid-range device called the LG G3 Vigor, expected to become available later this month.
Rumors of an LG G3 Vigor first surfaced early last month, and the smartphone is reportedly ready to make its U.S. debut soon. According to a new leak, this upcoming device is about to land on Sprint's network.
The news comes from MyLGPhones, which claims that the LG G3 Vigor should go on sale later this month on Sprint. The smartphone is expected to arrive as the carrier's version of the LG G3 Beat / LG G3 S (European name), which made its official debut back in July. The Sprint LG G3 Vigor reportedly carriers the model number LS885, which was previously thought to be for an LG G2 Mini variant.
In terms of specifications, the LG G3 Vigor comes in the mid-range segment of the smartphone market, offering slightly watered-down internals compared to the high-end LG G3 flagship.
More specifically, the upcoming Sprint LG G3 Vigor reportedly features a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz under the hood, and 1GB of RAM. Other specs include 8GB of internal storage capacity, microSD card support for additional memory, an 8-megapixel rear camera with laser auto-focus, and a 1.3-megapixel front shooter. A 2,540 mAh battery will keep things up and running.
While the LG G4 Vigor may not boast the top-notch hardware specifications of the original flagship, it nonetheless packs good specs that should make it quite an attractive alternative.
Sprint will reportedly offer the LG G3 Vigor in three color options - purple, red, and titan black. No information is currently available regarding how much the device will cost once it makes its official debut on Sprint's network, but its specifications suggest an affordable price tag. The handset should cost around $350 off-contract, and Sprint should also have an attractive price point for the subsidized smartphone.
It all remains unconfirmed for now, however, so make sure to take this report with a grain of salt. If Sprint does indeed plan to launch the LG G3 Vigor later this month, more details should become available shortly.
