Best Buy just spilled the beans about the upcoming Moto 360 smartwatch, revealing most specs along with pricing details ahead of the big launch.

Smartwatches are on the rise and Motorola's Moto 360 is one of the most highly-anticipated devices of this year, but it has yet to make its official debut. Motorola has scheduled a press event for Sept. 4 where it is expected to formally introduce the Moto 360, but retailer Best Buy jumped the gun and revealed the device ahead of the big launch.

More specifically, a Best Buy listing for the Moto 360 offered details on the device's specifications, as well as its pricing. The retailer quickly pulled the page in question, for obvious reasons, but the folks over at Droid-Life managed to capture the leak for everyone to see.

If Best Buy's information is accurate, the Motorola Moto 360 smartwatch will come with a $249.99 price tag, which is quite reasonable. The recently-launched Samsung Gear Live and LG G Watch, for instance, cost $200 and $229, respectively, but Motorola's gadget sports better features.

The listing further revealed that the Moto 360 will come with a 1.5-inch circular display with a resolution of 320 x 290 pixels, packing a Texas Instruments processor under the hood, paired with 512MB of RAM. The device is made of stainless steel, which suggests it will be durable, and weighs in at 2.1 ounces.

The array of sensors on the Moto 360 include pedometer, heart-rate, and ambient light sensors, while connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Moreover, the device will also support wireless charging, which should make things easier and more convenient.

On the software side, the smartwatch will run Google's recently-launched Android Wear operating system for wearables, just like the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live. The Moto 360, however, sets itself apart from the competition by sporting a circular form factor, as opposed to the rectangular design found on the other smartwatches.

The $249.99 price tag has been speculated before for the Moto 360 smartwatch, and Best Buy's brief listing further bolstered those claims. It may not be officially confirmed just yet, but we'll learn everything there is to know about the Moto 360 straight from the source soon enough, on Sept. 4.
