Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo user manual hints at great things – Launch imminent?

The Motorola Droid Turbo has leaked on several occasions so far, and now its entire user manual has surfaced ahead of the handset's official debut.

Motorola's Droid lineup of devices for Verizon Wireless has enjoyed great success so far, and various reports tried to anticipate what to expect from the new members set to join the family this year.

The latest news regarding the Verizon Motorola Droid Turbo now comes in the form of a newly-surfaced user manual, which is as close as we have gotten to an official confirmation.

The manual in question seems to confirm rumors that the Droid Turbo will be quite premium amd it will offer a "vanilla" Android experience just like the Moto X flagship. While user manuals typically don't detail the specifications of the device, this one does give a few hints in this regards.

Most intriguingly, the guide mentions a 5.2-inch "ultra high-definition display," which could mean a QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440. The new Moto X, for instance, has a display of the same size, but with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The manual further notes a high-end 21-megapixel dual LED flash camera for the Droid Turbo, again marking an upgrade from the 13-megapixel rear shooter of the Moto X. Shared features between the two smartphones, meanwhile, apparently include support for Moto Turbo charging that allows users to juice up their device in no time.

When it comes to design, the Motorola Droid Turbo will apparently have a single front-facing speaker, not the dual setup found on the new Moto X, while capacitive navigation buttons will apparently take up some bezel space. It also seems that the volume rocker on the Droid Turbo will also serve as a nano SIM card slot.

In terms of software, as previously mentioned, the Motorola Droid Turbo will apparently come with the same vanilla Android experience gracing the Moto X. The overall user interface (UI) seems unchanged, save for a circular clock home screen widget and a different wallpaper, but Verizon will surely load plenty of its bloatware onto the Droid Turbo. The device will also boast popular Moto software features such as Moto Assist, Moto Voice, Moto Display, and Moto Actions.

Motorola and Verizon Wireless have yet to formally introduce the new Droid Turbo smartphone, but an official announcement is expected shortly. In the meantime, you can learn more about the device from the user manual at this link (PDF).
