LG G Watch down to $99, $50 Google Play credit included – Limited-time offer
Alexandra BurlacuIf you're looking for a great deal on a smartwatch, Google is now selling the Android Wear-powered LG G Watch for just $99.
The deal is available until midnight on Cyber Monday, Dec. 1, and marks a heavy discount of more than half the regular price. Residents in the UK can take advantage of this offer as well, as the LG G Watch is now available for £79 in the country.
Moreover, Google is also offering a bonus $50 Google Play credit with the purchase of an LG G Watch, as part of its Black Friday/Cyber Monday promotion. Customers can put this credit toward apps, books, movies, music, games, or magazines.
As a reminder, the LG G Watch is the first smartwatch from the company and made its debut back in June as a launch vehicle for Google's Android Wear OS for wearable devices.
The LG G Watch sports a 1.65-inch IPS LCD display with touch support and a resolution of 280 x 280 pixels. Other specs include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage capacity, and a 400 mAh battery to keep things up and running. For extra durability, the smartwatch also boasts IP67 certification for dust and water resistance.
The gadget runs Android Wear, and is compatible with devices running Android 4.3 or newer. The LG G Watch will display all sorts of information on users' wrists, delivering notifications from the paired smartphone. Moreover, users can also give voice commands to the smartwatch simply by saying "OK Google."
The LG G Watch originally launched with quite a hefty price tag, but Google's new discount now makes the device more affordable than ever. Considering the $50 Google Play credit included with the purchase, interested buyers would practically get the smartwatch for just $49.
To learn more about the device or to take advantage of this attractive new offer, head over to the Google Play store at this link and make your purchase. Remember that this is a limited-time offer set to expire on Monday, Dec. 1, so you might want to take advantage of it while it lasts.
