Google Nexus 6 now in stock and ready to ship from US Cellular
Alexandra BurlacuThe much-touted Google Nexus 6 smartphone expands its availability, as US Cellular now has the device in stock as well.
The Nexus 6 made in collaboration with Motorola comes as Google's very first phablet and boasts high-end specs and features all around, raising lots of interest worldwide. The handset also served as one of the launch vehicles for the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop, rocking the new Android version and all of the software goodies it has to offer straight out of the box.
The device, however, has been quite elusive ever since it launched, as stock has not been as readily available as many consumers hoped it would be. The Nexus 6 has been pretty hard to come by, going in and out of stock in no time, but wider availability should help make things better in this regards.
US Cellular is the latest carrier to release the Google Nexus 6, now selling the smartphone for a starting price of $199.99 when agreeing to sign a two-year contract agreement. The carrier is also offering the higher-capacity 64GB Nexus 6, which goes up to $249.99 on contract. Both models are available only in a Midnight Blue color option. It's worth pointing out, however, that these contract prices apply to new customers and don't include the activation fee, which will cost you an extra $40.
Those who would rather not commit to a lengthy carrier agreement, meanwhile, can also purchase the device outright, at full retail price. US Cellular is offering the 32GB Nexus 6 for $660 outright, and the 64GB model for $730.
Lastly, interested customers can also get the Nexus 6 on a monthly installment basis with nothing upfront with US Cellular "Shared Connect" plans, paying $33.00 per month for the 32GB model or $36.50 per month for the 64GB variant.
For more information about the device or to purchase the Nexus 6 from US Cellular, head over to the product page on the carrier's website at this link.
Google, meanwhile, has yet to offer more details on when it will bring additional Nexus 6 stock on Google Play, but should replenish its inventory soon enough. On the upside, at least carrier options are available (for now).
