The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phablet now has a special price of just $1.00 on Amazon, provided you sign a two-year contract with Verizon Wireless.

Samsung is widely seen as the king of phablets, as the company's Galaxy Note series has seen tremendous success with each and every iteration. A few years back, Samsung shook the whole tech world by launching a large smartphone called the Galaxy Note, which was considered immense at the time.

Although at first many were skeptical regarding the success of such super-sized phones, Samsung proved them all wrong and started a whole trend of large devices called phablets.

The company saw increasingly greater success with each new Galaxy Note iteration, and the Galaxy Note 3 launched back in 2013 is still one of the most popular phablets around. Samsung may have launched new-generation Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge phablets in the meantime, but the Galaxy Note 3 still holds a punch and continues to be widely popular.

As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 launched back in 2013 with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a full HD resolution and a pixel density of 386 pixels per inch (ppi). Under the hood, the device packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, paired with Adreno 330 graphics and 3GB of RAM.

The Galaxy Note 3 further features 32GB of internal storage capacity, a microSD card slot for external memory of up to 64GB, a 13-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, and a 2-megapixel front shooter. A 3,200 mAh battery keeps things up and running, while Android 4.3 handles the software side. The phablet should also receive an update to the new Android 5.0 Lollipop in the future.

Considering that it's part of the popular Note series, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 also comes with the neat S Pen Stylus, which offers a number of great features and functionality.

The Galaxy Note 3 may no longer be the latest phablet in Samsung's Note series, but it's still a very capable device that is bound to deliver a strong performance.

As previously mentioned, Amazon is now offering the Verizon version of the Galaxy Note 3 for just $1.00 when agreeing to sign a new two-year contract with the carrier.

To take advantage of this deal, head over to Amazon's website here to find the black version of the Verizon Galaxy Note 3, or at this link for the white model of the phablet.
