BLU Win HD LTE Windows 10-ready smartphone available for $199 unlocked from Microsoft Store
Alexandra BurlacuA new BLU Win HD LTE Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone just hit the Microsoft Store, available now for an attractive price of $199 unlocked.
Most people think of Lumias when hearing about Windows Phone smartphones, but there are still other OEMs that make handsets for Microsoft's mobile platform. BLU is one of them, and the company now has a brand new smartphone to offer.
Although it did not make a big announcement or a splashy unveiling, BLU launched a new Windows Phone smartphone that is now available for purchase from the Microsoft Store. The new BLU Win HD LTE arrives as the successor to last year's BLU Win HD Windows Phone handset, bringing several notable improvements to the table.
As the name itself suggests, the BLU Win HD LTE runs Microsoft's Windows Phone OS, has an HD display, and comes with LTE support. The handset has a 5-inch 720p screen, a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2GHz under the hood, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage capacity, and microSD support for additional memory of up to 32GB. Other specs include an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front shooter, and a 2,500 mAh battery to keep things up and running. On the software side, the smartphone ships with Windows 8.1 on board out of the box, but will receive an update to the latest Windows 10 once the new OS is ready to roll out to devices.
The new BLU Win HD LTE also comes with dual-SIM support, and connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, in addition to 4G LTE.
BLU has made a name for itself thanks to its affordable devices, delivering a decent performance without drawing a hole through your wallet. The BLU Win HD LTE is no different, as the device is available for purchase at $199 unlocked, straight from the Microsoft Store. The handset comes in four color options, allowing interested customers to choose between white, gray, orange, and yellow avatars.
