LG G4 launching globally starting this week
Alexandra BurlacuThe flagship LG G4 is officially ready to hit the market, as it will start its global rollout this week.
LG has formally announced that the LG G4 will start rolling out shortly, set to reach "key markets" around the world. The company has yet to offer exact launch and pricing details, but it did note what markets should expect it first.
The latest LG G4 flagship is scheduled to go on sale in Hong Kong this week, after which it will launch in Turkey, Russia, and Singapore. Following markets include Europe, North America, CIS, Southeast Asia, EMEA, and South/ Central America. The smartphone will hit approximately 180 carriers and retail partners worldwide, LG further noted.
"The LG G4 is our most ambitious smartphone yet because it is unlike any other flagship mobile phone on the market today," Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, touts in a new press release. "Our vision is to create our own set of standards without worrying about what trend other smartphones are following. We think we have a winning formula because the initial reaction to the G4 has been tremendously positive."
LG introduced its latest LG G4 flagship smartphone back in late April, introducing a powerful smartphone with high-end specs and features all around. The handset boasts a 5.5-inch IPS LCD display with a QHD resolution (2560 x 1440 pixels), a hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor, Adreno 418 graphics, and 3GB of RAM. Other specs include 32GB of internal storage capacity, microSD card slot for additional memory of up to 128GB, a powerful 16-megapixel rear camera with a large f/1.8 aperture, an 8-megapixel front shooter, and a 3,000 mAh battery. On the software side, the smartphone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
As previously mentioned, LG has yet to announce exact pricing and availability details for its flagship LG G4, but will offer more information locally at the time of launch. At the same time, pricing and availability may vary by carrier and market. We'll make sure to keep you up to date as soon as LG provides additional details, so check back soon.
