LG G4 Stylus, LG G4c mid-rangers officially debut – Specs and features
Alexandra BurlacuLG has officially added two new devices to its G4 lineup, introducing the G4 Stylus and G4c smartphones with mid-range specs.
The new LG G4 Stylus and LG G4c aim to serve as more affordable alternatives to its flagship LG G4, which comes with high-end specifications and a price to match.
"The G4 Stylus and G4c are perfect examples of what we mean by a premium smartphone experience without a premium price," Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company, touts in a new press release on Tuesday, May 19. "We are committed to offering consumers in fast-growing markets LG devices that not only deliver performance, but also look good while doing so. Both the G4 Stylus and G4c will surpass customers' expectations of what an LG phone should be."
The LG G4 Stylus, as the name itself suggests, is virtually a rebranded LG G Stylo, which has already made its debut not too long ago. The device sports a 5.7-inch display with an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a quad-core processor for the LTE model, presumably the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 (it's still unspecified for now). Other specs include 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage capacity, microSD support for additional memory, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front shooter, a 3,000 mAh removable battery, and stylus support, for the LTE model.
The 3G version of the LG G4 Stylus features an octa-core processor (unspecified, could be from MediaTek) and an 8-megapixel rear camera, but otherwise the same specs as the 4G LTE model. Both versions will come in Metallic Silver and Floral White color options.
The LG G4c, meanwhile, features a 5-inch HD 720p display, an unspecified quad-core processor (could also be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 410), 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage capacity, microSD card support for additional memory, an 8-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front shooter, 4G LTE connectivity, and a 2,540 mAh removable battery. Color options for the LG G4c include Metallic Gray, Ceramic White and Shiny Gold.
In terms of features, the new LG G4 Stylus and LG G4c borrow some of the most popular software features from the flagship LG G4, including Knock Code, Gesture Shot and Glance View. The LG G4 Stylus also comes with laser auto focus for a better camera experience.
According to LG, the LG G4 Stylus and G4C smartphones will launch in "key strategic markets" in the following weeks. The company has yet to offer exact release and pricing details, but will offer more information shortly.
