Makers of band charger, Reserve Strap, are hard at work in its development of a battery band for Apple watch, as reported in Tech Crunch.com. The makers announced the good news on its website last June 24. The new battery band will reportedly extend an Apple smartwatch's life for 30 hours.
Reserve Strap is releasing the new battery band charger to the market early November this year and the device's market value is tentatively set at $249.99 each. Just like the Apple watch, Reserve Strap's wrist charger is believed to be water-resistant. The Business Insider reports that the Reserve Strap makers stated that, "there's no explicit mention of the port itself being used in the band category." Hence, using the Reserve Strap wrist band charger does not nullify or void your Apple Watch's warranty.
The charger is expected to be available in white, gray and black colors.
The Reserve Strap charger is seen to increase the power of a 38 mm and 42 mm sized Apple smartwatch with 48 hours of stable power. The charger enables the Apple watch's power to last for a whole day, with just a single charge.
The same article from The Business Insider also reports that the Reserve Strap used the similar materials found in Apple watch's sport band in its manufacture of this wrist band charger.
Meanwhile, two members of the team that made the band charger, announced that a Reserve Strap charger prototype will be available in the coming weeks. According to Lane Musgrave and John Arrow, Reserve Strap will produce a video of the device in the weeks to follow. The video should provide Apple watch owners the information they need to know before the charger's market release.
