Mobile App for ‘America’s Got Talent’ Allows Audience to Vote Online
Staff ReporterNBC continues to incorporate technology in their systems as they introduce a new app for "America's Got Talent."
The new app will supposedly introduce a new type of interaction for the fans. The "AGT" app will allow users to cast their votes online and see real time results as well. This way, the fans will have an idea if their favorites are ranking up to the top spot or not. As the user votes for his favorite, the app has a share button on the bottom part of the page so if the user wishes to rally his friends for support, he can easily do so.
The live voting can be done even during the live voting episode. The app also shows the acts from the latest episode of "AGT" and the fans can save their favorites on the app.
"AGT" app also has this exciting feature that brings the audience direct access to host Nick Cannon and the other judges.
The users can also customize the app according to their favorite judge by customizing their buzzer with that celebrity's catchphrase. They can hear Heidi Klum's "Did I look away? No. I wanted to see it all" comment.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time an app was dedicated to "America's Got Talent." The Hollywood Reporter wrote that back in 2011, they had introduced an iOS and Android app that allows users to submit their auditions online.
At the time, NBC utilized YouTube as their online platform for talents, but the new app allows them to narrow down their options. The talents can upload their auditions through the app and at the same time send it to YouTube or to "AGT's" section on NBC's site.
More talent will be featured on "AGT" Season 10 which airs every Tuesday at 8 p.m. on NBC.
