It's official! Samsung is now starting to load out the new Gear S2 software update and it comes with tons of performance improvements, watch faces and new features. Supports for emojis have also been added so it can now be directly entered through the device keyboard. Some fixes to early tethering problems were also added which now promises more stability like never before.

Samsung Gear S2 users will find themselves delighted that included in the update, are exciting apps ad watch faces. With the new update, consumers will now be able to enjoy the ESPN app with live scores from their favourite games, News Briefing, plus a world clock. There are also new watch faces designed by Mendini.

The S2 smartwatch now also has an added search function in the contacts app and new screen timeout settings. Gear S2 consumers will also notice that with the rollout, there is now a notification indicator on the watch face which is a bit similar than that of the Apple Watch.

Samsung's S2 smartwatch also has a new alert that lets the user know when their device has lost its Bluetooth connection with their smartphone. This might come in handy especially to those who have a habit of forgetting their smartphones at home or in their office. Another feature added is the new unread notification indicator on the watch face. It looks like a small red sphere that comes up when there are unread notifications.

The recent software update of the said smartwatch weighs nearly 89MB and comes with the version number R32XXU2BOKK. It can be installed using the Gear Manager app on a consumer's smartphone. The user has to have the app updated to the latest version though; otherwise it might not appear in the said app.
