Apple’s New Battery Case Ridiculed by LG & ASUS; Also Takes Criticisms
Mary Cris BalancioApple had just released their very first official battery case for iPhone's 6 and 6s. And it's generating a different sort of buzz since then. Some people have been criticizing the Cupertino company for coming up with something that the public deems hideous. A fact that was surprising, considering that the tech company is well known for being design focused.
And like most cases, when one sees the opportunity to market their products and slam their competitors, all they need to do is use the current situation and voila! It is like hitting two birds with one stone. And it looks like that is the idea that Both ASUS and LG have, in light of the recent events.
ASUS, on their part, started with pointing out that even with the latest battery case attached to an iPhone 6, it is no doubt still no match for their latest ZenFone Max. According to the tech company, their Zenfone has a 5,000 mAh battery that can handle two hours more internet use, two hours more video playback, and even 12 hours more talk time than the said smartphone.
On the other hand, LG also took a hit on Apple's new case but in a slightly more different route than what ASUS took. LG called Apple on their "bumpy" case design. Additionally, LG's latest smartphone V10 has a 3,000 mAh battery and can charge up to 50% within 40 minutes.
According to Apple CEO Tim Cook, the latest battery case that rolled out yesterday is mostly made for those who cannot access their chargers every day. The case didn't meet the expectations of Apple users though, as they were rather expecting a battery case that would compliment the iPhone 6 and 6s' sleek design.
But what met them was this bumpy battery case. In the end, it gathered more criticisms and earned disappointment instead. It remains to be seen whether Apple will be releasing another case that would be better looking or whether the jabs from Asus and LG has had an effect to their consumers.
