Asus, one of the biggest Taiwanese multinational computer hardware and electronics company, has recently launched their ZenPad 7.0 / Z170 MG smartphone in India. The said smartphone / tablets are similar to an earlier released tablet by the same company.

The difference between the new and earlier released version is the chipset that they come with. There is also a noticeable difference in the price. The older version is more costly by 1,000 INR at 8,999 INR while the new ones are 7,999 INR.

So what else should one expect from this new version? The new version comes with a MediaTek chipset instead of Intel. The said smartphone has a body dimension of 189 x 108 x 8.4 mm or 7.44 x 4.25 x 0.33 inches. It weighs 265 g or 9.35 oz and comes with an Oleophobic coated 7.0 inch display with a 67.6% screen to body ratio. The device has 600 x 1024 pixel resolution and a density of 170 ppi.

The ZenPad 7.0 runs Android v5.0 Lollipop on a 1.3 GHz quad core MediaTek processor, has a Mali-450MP4 GPU and a RAM of 1GB. It has an internal storage of 8GB which is expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card. It is powered with a 3450 mAh non removable battery which can last up to eight hours of talk time.

The smartphone also sports a 5MP primary camera and a 0.3MP front shooter which is billed as perfect for selfies. Asus ZenPad 7.0 is also a dual SIM type of device that accepts micro-SIMs. It supports Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and microUSB v2.0 in terms of connectivity options. ZenPad also boasts of having sensors that include Ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.

Currently the Asus ZenPad C 7.0 smartphone comes in Obsidian Black and Pearl white when it first went on sale at Snapdeal. Some reports say that it might come out with a total of four color variants which are Black, White, Red, and Aurora Metallic.
