LG Unveils New Smartphone Series and Introduces Two New Units
Mary Cris BalancioYear 2016 has barely started, and already there have been innovations after innovations, products and/or devices that are being launched from almost anywhere in the world. And since CES 2016 is currently ongoing, you can expect more gadgets to be announced.
One of the companies joining the foray is LG, which has just announced that it will have a K-series smartphone line. It has also announced two K-series phones from the lineup, the LG K10 and the LG K7 devices.
The LG K10 smartphone has a 5.3-inch HD display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. It will run on Android 5.1 Lollipop and will come with two versions that are based on the 3G and 4G LTE technology. The 3G version has a 1.3GHz processor and is being powered by a 2,300mAh battery. It sports an 8-megapixel rear shooter and, depending on the market, will have either an 8-megapixel or 5-megapixel front shooter.
Meanwhile, the 4G LTE version will have either a 1.2 or 1.3GHz quad-core processor or a 1.14GHz octa-core processor, once again depending on the market. K10 will be sporting a 13-megapixel rear shooter, along with either an 8-megapixel or 5-megapixel front shooter.
Both K10 versions will be offered in three memory configuration options, which are 1GB, 1.5GB and 2GB. For internal storage, LG K10 will either be 8GB or 16GB. The entire smartphone has a dimension of 146.6 x 74.8 x 8.8mm and will be available in three color variants, which are white, gold and indigo.
Meanwhile, LG K7 will be shipped also running Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box but has features that are not as powerful as that of the K10. However, it will also have 3G and 4G LTE versions. The 3G version of the K7 has a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, while the 4G LTE version has a 1.1GHz quad-core processor.
Both K7 versions have the same 5-inch FWVGA display with an 854 x 480 pixel resolution. There is a slight difference between the two, though. The 3G version has an on-cell tough technology, while the 4G LTE is listed to have in-cell touch technology. Both are powered by a 2,125mAh battery.
The LG K7 3G variant has a dimension of 143.6 x 72.5 x 9.05mm and is said to be available in three color variants: gold, black and white. On the other hand, the 4G LTE version comes with a dimension of 143.6 x 72.5 x 8.9mm and will only be available in one color--Titan.
