The CES event always brings revelations each year, and 2016 is no different. During this year, a lot of products have been announced and/or introduced into the public, and so are services or program updates. During the event, ZTE has announced that it will be having a new forum and will be updating its Axon Passport 2.0 program for its Axon smartphones.

The new member-led forum will be called the Z-Community, and it is created to help shape the future of the Chinese company's mobile devices and services. The Z-Community is also established to connect with its customers and ask for their help in developing a community-based handheld device that the company plans to call Project CSX, which will be introduced to the public next year.

Additionally, aside from being able to help the Chinese smartphone manufacturer in its products, members of the said forum will be able to get privileges like having executive access to events, rewards and products. All that the ZTE users need to do is to register to the Z-Community on its website.

ZTE, aside from having a new forum for its consumers, has announced that it will also be upgrading its Axon Passport 2.0. Axon Passport 2.0 is the Chinese tech company's protection plans or its Axon smartphone line. With the announcement come unlimited repairs that are not covered by the warranty policy.

Consumers will also receive total assistance on device upgrades, replacements, setups and shipping concerns. According to Chairman and CEO of ZTE USA Lixin Cheng, they are confident in the performance and quality of their Axon phones and their ability to be there for their users when repairs are needed to be made outside of the coverage of the so-called standard warranty.

Cheng said that with their latest Passport 2.0 service, their users will have more confidence that they will be assisted in case of any device issue and no matter what their device's needs are. The Passport 2.0 will be a free two-year protection plan. There will be no limit on the number of requests made out of warranty repairs.

Consumers who want to have an upgrade from their unlocked ZTE phones to an Axon device can apply up to a $100 USD credit towards their purchases. The Chinese smartphone maker will also give a $100 USD credit for the replacement of an Axon phone that was lost or stolen during a user's international travel.

Additionally, shipping will be free within the Axon Passport 2.0 program in case of replacements or repairs, and ZTE even promises to help users set up and transfer information or data from their previous phones to a new device.
