HP Launches Amazing Omen Gaming PCs & Accessories
Shilpa ChakravortyHP is all set to make a big dent on the gaming world once again with its latest collection of products called Omen. The Omen series will reportedly include laptops, desktops and accessories targeted across different price range.
The much - awaited Omen series, kicked off yesterday, May 26, with the announcements of four new products, namely two laptops, a tower and a display, according to reports from The Verge. These products are only the starting range, toward the higher end of the market.
Unlike previously released systems, which include gaming specs, but are multi - purpose machines, the Omen line has been designed exclusively for gamers, according to Mashable. This marketing method can be compared to Dell's Alienware line of gaming PCs.
The much-rumored Omen PCs will contain a new 32 inch Quad HD display, and will come with a powerful Omen X platform, and will be released later this year.
The series will start off with two identical laptops known as Omen. They are identical black notebooks with "dragon red" highlights, around each key and on the lid. Additionally, HP's logo will show on the inside instead of the back of laptop's display.
"The new OMEN platform offers the features gamers rely on - power for battling on the go, graphics for smooth gameplay and advanced thermal cooling to tackle the latest AAA games. The OMEN by HP delivers gamers what they need to strike first, and last," said HP VP and General Manager Kevin Frost in a press release on the new line.
The Omen desktop, which will reportedly replace HP's Envy Phoenix, will be offering both Nvidia and AMD graphics option and will be certified to power HTC's Vive VR headset.
On the desktop side, the memory can be expandable upto 32 GB and the graphics can be upgraded to an Nvidia GTX 1080 Founder Edition or AMD Raedon R9 390X, along with a liquid cooling system.
The Omen laptops will cost $899.99 for the 15.3 inch model and $979.99 for the 17.3 inch model, and will be available from July 10.
