WWE just stunned the fans with a shock announcement yesterday. Goldberg is indeed coming back to WWE 2K17 as a special pre-order bonus.

Fans who would pre-order will be treated to two versions of Goldberg, with both his WCW and WWE personas playable. The pre-order also comes with two classic WCW arenas, recreating WCW Monday Nitro and WCW Halloween Havoc. These two arenas have been very close to Goldberg's heart, and has cemented him as a true WWE superstar.

"It's just a really cool deal to be a character in WWE 2K17," Goldberg told WWE.com. "Whether it's Nitro or Halloween Havoc, to have me as an available character, it's really cool. It's a tribute."

Speaking about his dream matches, Goldberg said that there is a "list that's a mile long of potential victims". "There are a number of people that I never got the opportunity to wrestle in an actual ring that I'd love to make happen for the first time in WWE 2K17," the WWE superstar said. "I'd love to wrestle a Bruiser Brody from the past. I'd love to wrestle Andre the Giant from the past."

Goldberg was not seen in a WWE match since Wrestlemania XX in 2004, but he is still considered a WWE legend up to now, with his impeccable 173-match winning streak and his famous clashes with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Triple H and Brock Lesnar. He is also famous for his powerful Spear move, emulated by countless superstars after him.

Mobile & Apps has previously reported that Goldberg is one of the most speculated roster picks in WWE 2K17. The wrestler has replied "I think I've heard a rumor..." to a fan on Twitter, who asked him if he is in talks with WWE to appear in the game. Both WWE and Goldberg was silent about the issue, which has finally led to the surprise announcement earlier this week.

WWE 2K17 will be launched on the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One in October.
