Apple iOS 10 Features Reveal Dark Mode, Split Screen? What To Expect in WWDC

Apple is expected to reveal new features for the iOS 10 in the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) keynote event on June 13 at 10 am PST. Rumor has it that it will unveil a dark mode theme and split screen feature.

Spanish tech website iHelpbr created concept images for the dark mode as inspired by the WWDC website interface. According to the outlet, many iPhone users were complaining about the iOS 7 because of the "exaggerated white system interface."

Addressing the concerns, Apple launched the Night mode on the previous iOS 9.3 that allows the screen to adjust depending on the surrounding light. Then, the website had an idea that a dark mode theme might be introduced on the event, hence the concept images.

The variations come close to blue instead of pure black, with dark backgrounds to come with other elements in a lighter shade of blue and contrasting color such as white. They are hoping that this theme will be extended to other system menus.

As for the split screen feature, the Spanish outlet also noted that many users are requesting for the iOS 10 to have a split screen with "two side-by-side applications" and "Picture-in Picture" in iPhones. This will make the smartphone look like a desktop that can view two separate windows in one.

These concepts are not yet official, though, but Mac Rumors believe that adding these features on the iOS 10 will provide a big leap for Apple.

It has been reported hours ago that Apple will announce minor revamps on iOS 10 like photo enhancements, and with Apple Music app, to mention a few. The intelligent virtual assistant SiRi will also be relaunched.

Apple WWDC is just around the corner, yet the hype continues to soar on the Internet. There will be more interesting tech news to come, so stay tuned.
