OnePlus 2 Specs, News: Smartphone To Get Doze App, Latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, OxygenOS 3.0.2 Update
Dheeraj RWith the latest Android 6.0.1 Marshmellow update, the OnePlus 2 smartphone is reported to go through a total makeover in terms of its specs and features. The reports suggest that the China-based company, OnePlus, recently announced that the second series smartphone will soon receive the Marshmellow and OxygenOS 3.0.2 update.
"We are about to start the incremental rollout of OxygenOS 3.0.2 on OnePlus 2, the upgrade to Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 for the OnePlus 2," said Helen, OnePlus forum administrator, as reported by NDTV. "I want to thank all of you who have provided feedback on the community builds. We look forward to hearing your feedback on this one."
PC Magazine reported that with the Android 6.0.1 Marshmellow update, OnePlus 2 will get new features and applications which will bring many improvements to the smartphone. It is reported that OnePlus 2 will get the Doze app after the much-hyped software update. The Doze application is said to help the smartphone to conserve battery and thus, provide users with more usage time.
Apart from the Doze application, Mobi Picker reported that the Android 6.0.1 Marshmellow update will improve the fingerprint sensor recognition. Few reports also suggest that the new update will help to improve the fingerprint performance on OxygenOS 3.0 by 45 percent.
Further, the OnePlus 2 camera and user interface is also expected to undergo huge transformation because of the new Marshmellow update. It is reported that the new update will also include new Chrome feature, new ways to handle Web links, Android Pay mobile payment system and a Do not disturb mode, which will enable all the OnePlus 2 users to block all sounds or notifications.
Meanwhile, GMS Arena reported that the latest Android Marshmellow update will be made available to all the OnePlus 2 customers within the next 48 orders. In order to download the update, the customers are expected to be connected to a strong Wi-Fi network and also have at least 50 percent battery power.
Reports suggested that the above-mentioned tips should be ensured by all the OnePlus 2 customers in order to complete the downloading and the installation process of Android 6.0.2 Marshmellow update smoothly.
