Sony at E3 2016: Recap Of Trailers And Announcements From The Playstation Press Conference

The last conference of this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo was certainly not the least as Sony dropped a lot of surprise announcements and a few new titles. Let's take a look at all the announcements made at this year's Playstation press conference.

"God Of War" Gameplay Reveal

Sony did not wait until the end to deliver the good stuff, as the press conference started off with a gameplay demo of the new "God of War", accompanied with a full-blown orchestra. The protagonist, Kratos, teaches his son, Charlie, how to hunt, but they were interrupted by a few enemies along the way.

Hideo Kojima Is Back With New Project "Death Stranding"

Game director and "Metal Gear Solid" creator Hideo Kojima is back. In what could be the most shocking moment in E3 2016 history, Kojima introduced his new studio Kojima Productions' new game, "Death Stranding". He also reveals that he is working with actor Norman Reedus, who was originally working with him on "Silent Hills" before it was cancelled.

"The Last Guardian" Finally Has A Release Date

Sony has finally announced the release date for the much awaited game "The Last Guardian". The game will ship on October 25 this year.

Playstation VR Gets October Release Date

Sony unveils the release date for its Playstation VR, and announces that it will have 50 launch titles. The game publisher also showcased a few of its upcoming VR titles and gameplays, like "Batman Arkham VR", "Star Wars: Battlefront" X-Wing VR Missions and "Farpoint".

Playstation VR will launch on October 13. 

"Horizon: Zero Dawn" Gameplay Trailer

"Horizon: Zero Dawn" gets more screentime at E3 this year with a full gameplay demo featuring Aloy's new abilities and weapons. The game will be launched February 28, 2017.

"Final Fantasy XV" Goes VR

What looked like another normal "Final Fantasy XV" trailer turns into something more interesting as Sony and Square Enix introduced "Final Fantasy XV VR". Players can now control Prompto, one of Noctis' companions, and play the game using its virtual reality capabilities.

"Resident Evil 7" Can Be Played on VR

Another surprise announcement is the reveal of "Resident Evil 7", and it looks like it has returned to its horror roots, Telegraph reports. Sony announced that the latest "Resident Evil" title is due out on January 24 next year, and can be played on VR from start to finish.

"Crash Bandicoot" Remaster Coming To PS4

Sony announced that Activision will be remastering the first three "Crash Bandicoot" games, inciting excited cheers from the audience. The lovable character is also crashing through the world of "Skylanders Imaginators".

New Trailer of "Detroit: Become Human"

The creators of "Heavy Rain" has made another game called "Detroit: Become Human". The main character is Connor, an android who is trying to save a girl from a fellow android. The game, just like Heavy Rain, relies heavily on the player's decisions.

Sony Introduces New IP "Days Gone"

"Days Gone", a new open-world survival game, was also introduced by Sony today. The game features zombie-like creatures called Freakers. The main protagonist is Deacon, a bounty hunter who leaves the safety of the forest encampments to find his own life.

"Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens"

Sony also showed the new trailer for "Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens". A demo for the game is now available on the Playstation Store.

"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" Bounces Back with New Trailer

Compared to the previous trailer, which was downvoted on Youtube two million times, the new E3 trailer for "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" looks pretty decent. According to The Verge, the game looks almost nothing like the previous "Call of Duty" games., with the space fighting and all.

"Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" will be out on November 4 this year, and will come with a remastered version of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare".

New "Spider-man" Title Revealed

"Ratchet and Clank" developer Insomniac Games has revealed that it is working on a new PS4-exclusive title, "Spider-man 4". Players will be able to take control of a more experienced Peter Parker.

VR Horror Title "Here They Lie" Revealed

"Here They Lie" is a first-person horror game about a protagonist who is trapped in a city inhabited by strange creatures. The game is fully played on VR and will be shipped in fall this year.
