Samsung Galaxy Note 7 To Be Released In Edge Variant Only, Without The Flat Version? Specs, Design Similar To S6 Series?
Krezna de los ReyesLeaked information on Samsung Galaxy Note 7 relayed that its physical specification and design may come in two styles.
It was reported that the company has been experimenting two variants for the upcoming phablet. Although the decision wasn't made final, both of the devices will have similar hardware components but with different screen design that is similar to the S6 series, according to Forbes.
Meanwhile, Samsung has been reluctant in fully diving into their decision of integrating the previous pattern of their smartphones into Galaxy Note 7. There was a also recent change on their official website to present SM-N930F, which believed to be model number of the gadget.
It was reported that the chance is big for the South Korean tech giant to produce an edge-type version for the upcoming device. The reason claimed that it would be a company's strategy to level up in the industry and gain profit in initiating a new design trend.
According to Munwha Ilbo, a local newspaper in Korea wrote that "Samsung is not considering launching a flat screen version of the Note phone," according to GSMArena.
Previously, Samsung released edge variants to Galaxy S6, S7, and Note 4, which some consumers think worked the same as the flat-screened one. However with the upcoming phablet, many want to showcase an ergonomically aesthetic device that will allow users to do things with convenience.
The company developed a feature that will allow user's screenshots to slide towards the edge. Also, it would make the phone easier to hold while calling and they will be able to write on its screen by just using the edge, which is a new functionality to be utilized.
Although the company remained silent about their decision, consumers have to wait for further announcements on whether it will be introduced in flat or edge-type variants.
Samsung will start manufacturing the units in July and will be launching the Galaxy Note 7 on Aug. 2 and will probably announce the official release date in New York City.
