Fans expecting new subclasses to be introduced in the new "Destiny" expansion "Rise of Iron" will be disappointed, as Bungie announced that there will be no additional subclasses added to the game.
Talking to Playstation Lifestyle at E3, "Destiny: Rise of Iron" Executive Producer Scott Taylor has confirmed that the addition of subclasses is not considered for the latest expansion.
"There's no new subclasses but there are things that we're going to be talking about later in the summer that help enhance your power in a different way," Taylor said. "And we're really excited about talking about that."
Taylor also expressed the studio's stand on balancing that eventually will need to be done on all the new weapons included in the "Rise of Iron" expansion. The producer said that it is part of their job to make sure weapons are properly balanced.
"Balancing is something that we're always looking at and trying to make sure if it's right for that time in Destiny's lifecycle, so no, I'm not scared of that," Taylor confirmed. "That's typical."
On new character abilities, Taylor confirmed that there will be new ways to fee powerful in the latest expansion, pointing at the flaming axe on the poster as an example.
VG 24/7 reported that Bungie is set to include rituals of some sort in the expansion, and will be included in the new social space on Felwinter Peak.
Bungie also confirmed that new exotics, apart from the Gjallarhorn, are on its way, with Black Spindle-like quests a huge possibility.
There is another new stuff to look forward to in "Destiny: Rise of Iron," according to Polygon. Bungie is said to be raising its Light cap from 335, although it has not confirmed the new cap yet.
There will also be tons of new weapons, armor, and items to be introduced in the latest update.
"Destiny: Rise of Iron" will be available for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One on September 20. For those who are wondering if it is coming to the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, read all about it here.
