'Star Wars: Battlefront' News, Updates: Play Offline in Single Player Mode, DLC, And More
Carlo de LacySolitary gamers can now rejoice as "Star Wars: Battlefront," a multi-player only experience, will be getting a major game-changing update that will include a Single Player offline mode. This, along with the Death Star DLC and a couple of new modes, will add new contents to the game.
Dailystar reported that "Star Wars: Battlefront" Lead Designer Dennis Brännvall has already confirmed the inclusion of an offline mode for the game. This is one of the most requested features for the game for obvious reasons.
"We also have a couple of surprises in store that we know our fans have been looking for, especially those who have been clamoring for ways to have more options to enjoy Star Wars Battlefront offline. More to come soon," official developers stated on EA's official "Star Wars: Battlefront" forum.
Along with the announced new offline content, new in-game events will include more double score weekends, missions, and events. New Hutt contracts will also make their way, letting players unlock Star Cards like Bacta Bomb, Ion Neutralizer, and Berserket Trait.
However, with the recent Q&A where this confirmation was made, Brännvall's only reasurring word was a "Yes" with the question of whether the offline mode will be included.
The only clue people got is the fact that Brännvall confirmed that the offline content will be released before the Death Star DLC. This DLC is to be expected later this year. All this will be wrapped up along with the introduction of Instant Action mode, Walker Assault, and Fighter Squadron.
PlayStation Life Style also reported that Death Star DLC will definitely be coming around later this year as it was set for "Fall 2016". It would be the second to the last DLC that will be released for the game, with the last one arriving early 2017.
