"Pokémon Go" players will be rewarded for their addiction. Ripley's Believe It Or Not will make sure that players faces are glued on their smartphone screens, hunting for Legendary Pokémons for five grand. Believe it or not, Ripley is getting involved in the craze as well.

Official website Ripleys.com launched the event "Ripleys Go" from July 15 until July 24. The main goal of the game is to have players try their best at finding Legendary Pokémons in any of Ripley's tourist attractions.

Players who reside in the U.S., Australia, and U.K. are welcome to join the contest. It could also be noticed in the page that Canada is included in the list of the countries. Could this be a hint that Canada will get their hands on "Pokémon Go" soon too?

Ditto, Moltres, Zapdos, Articuno, and Mewtwo are the legendary pokémons that players need to find and catch. Other pokémons are also valid entries, but rarity greatly affects the scores of participants.

These pokémon are set to hang out at Ripley's attraction sites as they've rigged the place with tons of Pokéstops and Gyms.

Mechanics for qualifying are simple. Players only need to take a screenshot of catching the target Pokémon in Augmented Reality (AR) mode. The locations should also be easily recognizable so compisition of the shot plays a large factor for the validity of the entry.

Once done, players should upload their shots to Twitter or Instagram with the hashtag #RipleysGo.

Ripley's will be giving away $100 cash prize randomly everyday from today until the event of the event on July 24. $5,000 goes to the trainer who manages to catch the rarest pokémon. Refer to this chart for Ripley's guidelines of which pokémon trainers need to be hunting.

Gamerant, however, mentioned that the organizers of the contest maybe unaware of how the game actually works yet. The list isn't an absolute indicator of which pokémon will actually be found. Legendaries simply come to mind as there's a good chance that nobody would actually find one.
