Developer Team Ninja is releasing another demo for its action role-playing game 'Nioh' in August.

Following the release of its alpha demo in April, Team Ninja, who is known for its "Dead or Alive" series, announced another batch of beta testing next month.

The beta demo will be available for download starting August 23 and will run until September 6, according to Koei Tecmo Europe's Community Manager Chin Soon Sun.

Writing on the PlayStation Blog, Sun said that the second demo will be featuring a new dojo stage which will include an intense training session. There is also another new stage available in the demo, which is yet to be announced.

"A selection of new katana, spears, axes, and hammers will be available to collect to uniquely suit a player's gameplay style," Sun said. "Players will also be able to add a few new weapons to their arsenal as well."

The alpha demo was met with mixed feedback from different regions. Team Ninja ran a post-alpha survey and is currently using that feedback to improve the game.

Some of the feedback given were about implementing a tutorial for the game system, as well as adjusting the balance of the game to make battles more fair.

In other news, Japanese publication Weekly Famitsu has included screenshots of "Nioh" in its recent issue, according to DualShockers. Two areas were shown, Itsukishima and Iwamiginzan, as well as two new monsters, the Ohmukade and the Wanyudo.

A new weapon is also showcased on the screenshots, a handheld cannon called the Ozutsu. The Ozutsu is an actual historical weapon in 16th century Japan, and is the most powerful firearm in the game.

Some screenshots also showcased the protagonist, William Adams, donning the Tatenashi armor.

"Nioh" is set to launch later this year, and is exclusively in development for the Playstation 4.
