'Pokémon GO' Guide: How To Catch Abra, Arcanine, Snorlax and Kabuto

C. de Lacy

Catching certain pokémon types are actually easier than they sound. Here are some quick tips and guidelines on how to nab yourself an Abra, Arcanine, Snorlax and Kabuto.

Abra

A psychic pokémon. This is the infamous yellow bipedal Pokémon that is very effective against Normal, Poison, Psychic, Fairy, Fighting and Electric type pokémon. It is weak against Bug, Ghost and Dark type pokémon.

Its primary move is the Zen Headbutt that induces 12 - DPS of damage and secondary moveset consisting of Psyshock, Shadow Ball and Signal Beam.

Given that Abra's a psychic type, it can be found at residential areas like Hospitals and Grassy areas and especially during at night time. This is according to the majority of the reports from players who have successfully spotted Abra in such areas.

Arcanine

This pokémon has high base attack power, which trainers will find very pleasing. Fortunately, Arcanine is easy to acquire.

Arcanine evolves from Growlithe and Growlithe is quite a common pokémon to encounter at no particular setting. It could easily be acquired through hatching a 5KM egg.

Snorlax

As discussed in one of our articles on this site, getting Snorlax may be a bit trickier than most people might think. As mentioned, there are no fixed means of getting Legendaries yet, though Snorlax, being a legendary might debatable.

The problem is, Snorlax is quite hard to come by.

One effective method that players can get Snorlax is through hatching eggs. Still, players can still come by a Snorlax by random in very rare occurrences.

Kabuto

The rock/water type pokémon can be found on both water areas like rivers, steams, lakes etc. It can also appear on wetlands and parks with ponds and water fountains.

Kabuto is quite easy to find given the places where it can spawn and how accessible these areas are. Players can also come by rare pokémon like Blastoise through this so it could be quite beneficial for trainers who are looking for Kabuto.
