'Pokémon GO' Guide: How To Catch Vulpix And Ninetales

Jazz Rosin

Next on our "Pokémon GO" guide, we will cover how to obtain the fire-type Pokémon Vulpix and Ninetales.

How To Get A Vulpix

Vulpix is a fox-like fire Pokémon. As with most fire-type Pokémon, Vulpix can be commonly found in warmer climates like beaches and farm lands, but can also be found in residential areas, albeit in a slightly less chance percentage, according to Rankedboost.

If you're having difficulties nabbing this mon, don't worry, as Vulpix can also be hatched from a 5km egg.

This little critter is relatively weak at its first evolution, gaining only 12 CP per level. So why should you get a Vulpix? You need this cute Pokémon to evolve into its much powerful form, which we will discuss in the next paragraph.

How To Get A Ninetales

The majestic fox-like fire Pokémon Ninetales, based on the Japanese fox spirit kitsune, is definitely a must have Pokémon in your team, with its decent attack power and high defense stats. Fire Pokémon are always a welcome addition to your crew, and here's how to get one.

Ninetales, like Vulpix and many other Fire-type Pokémon, has a higher spawn probability in warmer climates. In order to catch one, prepare to throw out tons of Pokéballs and Razz Berries.

While it is possible to catch a Ninetales in the wild, the easiest and less stressful way to do it is to evolve Vulpix into Ninetails instead.

To evolve little Vulpix into the powerful Ninetales, 50 Vulpix Candy is required.

Ice-Type Vulpix And Ninetales?

This is not "Pokémon GO" related, but this is still worth mentioning. Fire-type Vulpix and Ninetales will be getting Ice-type forms in the new "Pokémon Sun and Moon," according to a new update.

The fire-type Pokémon will be getting their icy Alolan forms in the next game, and they look as good as their fiery counterparts.

Will we see an ice-type Vulpix and Ninetales in "Pokémon GO" soon? Not immediately, of course, but these new Alolan types are a welcome addition to the game. Stay tuned for updates.
