'Pokémon GO' Master Sets Eyes On Legendary Pokémon, Waits For More Features
Jazz Rosin"Gotta catch 'em all" is the famous tagline for all "Pokémon" games. Someone has already caught 'em all in "Pokèmon GO," but he is nowhere near done yet.
Nick Johnson is claiming to be the first "Pokémon GO" player who has completed and caught all 145 creatures currently available in the augmented reality mobile game.
However, the self-proclaimed "world-first Pokémon Master" is not going to hang his hunting cap yet.
Speaking to Reuters on Monday, Johnson is still waiting for Niantic Labs to add new features to the game, and is also waiting for the Legendary Pokémon, Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, Mew, and Mewtwo to make their appearance in the game.
"I'll definitely carry on playing it," the Brooklyn-based 28-year old tech employee said. "There's still a handful of the legendary Pokemon they haven't released yet, so I'm looking forward to when they do that."
Johnson also shared some features that he would want to see in the game in the near future, like battling with other trainers and more direct interaction with other players.
"It's still a great way to sort of hang out with friends and go outside," Johnson said, "and it's a good excuse to exercise for me still, so I'll be keeping up the regimen."
In other news, while Johnson is patiently waiting for the Legendary Pokémon to appear in the game, other trainers cannot wait to get their hands on them.
Last week, a player in Ohio claimed to have gotten the Legendary bird Articuno from Niantic Lab themselves, as a form of apology after contacting them to make a complaint about the game.
Niantic has since slammed the rumor, and has sent a statement to IGN.
"We recently noticed that a few Legendary Pokemon got into a few accounts when they shouldn't have," a Niantic representative said.
"To preserve the game's integrity and as a measure of fairness, we have rectified the situation and revoked the legendary Pokemon from the Trainers' accounts." the statement concluded.
Stay tuned for more "Pokémon GO" news.
